Rome is burning after 8 years of Neoconservative rule and what do the Neoconservatives controlling the Republican Party want to talk about and who are they targeting? They are running a three pronged assault on the American soul: (1) In rural and small town middle America they are stoking white fear, stirring racial resentment, painting Obama as a terrorist, un-American and (2) in Florida and other pockets of Jewish concentration in America, through RJC (Republican Jewish Coalition) and right wing PACS preying on Jewish fear and Islamophobia (see RJC Watch) they are working to persuade older Jewish voters that Obama is a Muslim and anti-Israel and (3) ongoing voter suppression efforts continue unabated in battleground states, trying to discredit new voters and minorites. Are John McCain and Sarah Palin paving the road towards Armageddon?
And then, as if Rush Limbaugh's and George Will's discrediting of General Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama as one based on race, is not enough to make you gag, then along comes Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann's doing her best imitation of Joe McCarthy or reminding others still of Richard Nixon's hunt for Alger Hiss.
